To celebrate the creativity of
Maine's next generation of writers, Governor John E. Baldacci
created the “Young Writers of the Year Award” in 2004. Sponsored by the
Maine Community College System with support from the Portland Press
Herald/ Maine Sunday
Telegram, and U.S. Cellular, the award recognizes young
writers throughout Maine by encouraging and showcasing excellence in
writing by high school juniors. |
